First of yes we thought that he bit my child! After a review of the injury by not only the ER DOCTOR and HER REGULAR HEALTH CARE PROVIDER SHE WAS NOT BITTEN BY HIM!!! I HAVE THAT IN WRITING FROM BOTH DOCTORS!!!
YOU OBVIOUSLY DIDNT READ THE WHOLE DAMN THREAD!!!! AND NO MY CHILD DIDNT BITE HERSELF!!! WHEN TWO DOCTORS SAY THAT HER INJURY IS FROM A PAW, UNLESS YOU ARE A DOCTOR AND HAVE STUDIED ANIMAL BITES GET OUT OF THIS THREAD. AND THEN TO TELL ME TO GIVE MY DOG UP IS CRAZY. EVEN ON THE PAPERWORK AND REPORT THAT WAS FILED IT SAYS THAT IT WAS A PAW SCRATCH NOT A BITE! AND YES I AM WORKING ON GETTING COPIES OF THE PAPERWORK.
Amanda, I can understand why you are upset, but please know that this is the opinion of one person. Look at all of the people here supporting you. There is enough going on in your life right now that you shouldn't worry about what one single individual's personal opinions are. You know what is best for you and your family, don't let some random person on the internet tell you different.
I am glad to see that you are getting paperwork documenting the scratch. Unfortunately that probably won't secure his early release because of rabies(even though he was vaccinated in some places it is just standard procedure), but it will be handy to have in the future if any one tries to accuse your dog of being a trouble maker. I would also document your encounters with the shelter. Always be prepared for anything.
