Blood tests were negative- no tick disease. Which, I suppose I should be thankful, but I was hoping for, I don't know, a concrete diagnosis, and a simpler fix.
On the other hand, I just spoke to the owner of a local pet shop whose Neo died after complications from Lyme disease...and it wasn't pretty.
CR- yeah we have had to drastically reduce our wanderings out and about, which sucks. Just short walks, or just sitting and watching the world go by (which, he actually loves to do, so it's not all bad.)
I could whine about it all-- like "Why didn't this happen during the hot summer days when all he wants to do is lie around anyway?", or "What happens when it starts snowing and he going to want to RUN and be a maniac?"
But, I have to look at the big picture, his future health. Which means our world will become much smaller for awhile. He needs time to heal, lots of time... I am hoping by spring he will emerge a much stronger boy, ready for action.
Somebody who has been through this is helping me toe the line, which is so great...(I'm looking at you, AB!). Support is helpful, because...
...did I mention how much this sucks?!
