Tosa Breeders In The USA?

Is it just me or are there no breeders of the Tosa in the states? I remember years ago Stonewall breed Tosa, but they seem to have moved to Brazil? Besides the fact quality Tosa stock is hard to come by (Japanese guard it) what are the reasons the Tosa is so hard to come by? Other than that, would love to hear any stories members would like to share about their or others experience with the breed.

Contact BradA1878 on here, buy he doesn't frequent the forum or Brad Anderson on Faceook. He has 2 full grown tosas. I think he imported the female and bought the male in the states I'm not sure. He recently imported another tosa. Let me know what you find out. https://www.facebook.com/BradA1878?fref=ts

You and me Sir, are on the very same page! I follow Brad's dog blogs and he is an amazing individual. You can keep a billion dollar lotto, and give me Brad's life any day. In fact, I am working towards (life goal) establishing a life very similar to Brads. I have recently become good friends with Chris Gomez a friend of Brads. As we speak I am working on sitting up a date to drive out and met Chris's beautiful Tosas. *Hector PM me, if you ever have any interest in possibly owning a (pet quality) Tosa.*

When I get to that point when I'm ready for another dog which is probably going to be a tosa, then I definitely will pm you. Before shipping became more strict, there was a breeder up in Canada that I was very interested in. Tosa House tosas, but because of the shipping, she doesn't breed dogs anymore. Another kennel I looked at was Matsu in IL? I believe but their site doesn't seem to be up to date and I haven't bothered to contact the breeder since I'm not looking to buy one.

I am familiar with both Tosa House and Matsu. Tosa House would be my #1 place to get a Tosa (if you do not have a personal contact in Japan). The wealth of information Tosa House shares and their experience is second to none in North America. On a side note just had a lovely conversation with Brad Anderson on temperament (Kangal/SAB) lines. I now have a working hypothesis on what is going on with the recent explosion of these huge/aggressive LGDs.

Does anybody know what happened to Stonewall Tosa Inu breeders in Tennessee? I remember the owner name was Michelle I bought puppy from her 15 years ago. Now I cannot find her anywhere. My Tosa passed away a year ago was a fantastic dog! I miss her terribly!9C2021F4-85BC-4601-B469-0501296EA77C.jpeg
