Mollys dad
Well-Known Member
For those of you who have read my earlier posts, you know my pup molly is a new BM to my house with no kids and a cat. For others, Molly is 13 weeks now and adapting to life in our home very well. She was a handful at 9 weeks with biting, but she has begun to calm down a bit with consistent "OW"s and diversion. She loves her crate and the big stuffed black bear that she sleeps with - it used to be her size, but not anymore.
Our circumstances have changed drastically due to family illness and now (lack of) funds - my wife will be starting back to work next :-( working 7 until 3 on the afternoon. I work the standard 8-5 or 6 or 7 depending on work load. We crate Molly at night (11 - 6) and she is doing great with that. I am struggling with leaving her crated during work hours. I can come home at lunch most days so the longest time would be 4 hours. My wife will be home at 3:30 so just a couple more hours in the crate.
I know people that do it with pups until they can be left to roam the house. What about this breed?
