Ruger, Magnum and myself hope that all of you had a fantastic Christmas. We certainly did. All of my kids and grandkids were thrilled with thier gifts and I had the day to spend with all of mine and thiers and nothing makes me happier. Ruger and Magnum enjoyed all of thier presents and thier stockings and more than anything else...Christmas dinner. With all of the chaos that comes with a full house, I didn't get photos of them opening thier presents but did attempt to get photos of them in front of the tree. 100 (2).jpg

I put a few of thier Christmas toys up because they are the ones that make them go crazy and it would appear that Ruger decided that one in particular should not be up after all. LOL

Magnum blamed Ruger for trying to get to the toys but the little head behind Ruger in this picture tells another story. 1525488_10202631614689388_1831237021_n.jpg

You would think that I would have known better after the pickle incident just days before.

Ruger is not to be outdone and since Magnum started showing off how tall he is, Ruger has "risen" to the occasion to prove that he is tall, too.

And the training begins.....LOL

You will need a step ladder to hide the toys high enough to keep out of their reach :)

Yes, I do think I will just have to give up......There is no where left to hide things.

I am actuallyy going to buy another one of those Kongs. The reason it is up is because the wrestle and run around like crazy grabbing it from each other...They love that damn thing. It bounces all crazy and they will play fetch with it forever. :) Thank you.

I am pretty sure you are correct.......But it would be great to see. No running away here, Ruger is all business when it comes to unwelcome strangers so there would be no turning back. LOL
Pretty sure a robber would shit his pants if he ever stepped foot in your home..

Great photos-- and I always enjoy the updates. :)

Question- has Magnum's deafness proven to be an issue with training? Or is it turning out to be not such a big deal?

Seems like you have done such a great job with him whether he hears you or not!

Thank you. These boys just make me so happy! No, I haven't had any issue with training Magnum at all. He knows sign language really well and was a dream to teach. I have to give a lot of the credit to Ruger, he has taught him so much and helped me to teach Magnum by doing the command when I signed so that Magnum could understand easier. Not sure if I would have done such a good job without Ruger, honestly. Leash training, on the other hand, is difficult since I can't tell him to stop or slow down but we are working on it diligently and I am sure we will get it before long. He loves to go for walks and really isn't difficult at all but just teaching him the basics is a little harder than I anticipated. I am sure that Ruger will figure out how to teach him soon. :) Teaching him to "look at me" and then asking him to do it over and over again in several minute intervals constantly for the first couple of months has paid off because when he is across the yard, every 2-3 minutes he checks in by looking at me. That is very helpful.
