So I've been gone from the forums for what seems like forever. I have good reason though. Back in September I adopted this super awesome guy named Seymour. It wasn't really planned, but I was volunteering at the shelter when I first met him. They rescued him from a hoarding situation where it was 2adults, a baby, 7 dogs and 14 cats all in a tiny one bedroom apartment. He was severely malnourished, invested with fleas and parasites and just barely hanging on. They weren't sure he would even make it. He's a 1 year old greyhound great dane mix and when they got him he was under 40lbs. The worst part was that these people adopted him from a shelter when he was a puppy. That shelter rescued him from a byb/puppy mill. He was part of an uh oh litter and was just left to die in his cage :-(
When I first met him I just knew I had to have him, we bonded almost instantly. I went to visit him every day until he was healthy enough to be adopted and he had been a party of our family ever since.
He is now completely parasite and flea free, his little bald spots have filled in and he is now maintaining a steady 96lbs.
I'm doing this from my phone so I'll attach some pictures in the comments

Thanks guys! He definitely has some weird energy levels, lol! I take him on short walks every day, but on Saturdays I take him up the grade school And let him run wild. He usually runs around, full speed for about an hour, comes back and returns to being a couch potato lol

I'm also blown away with how easy to train he has been. When I got him he was a mess, now he was beautifully on a leash, knows sit/lay down/stay and I'm even working on training him to help me when my ms is bad. Right now he just fetches my meds and helps me up the stairs and to the bathroom but he's doing so well! Right now we are working on searching, not a skill I really need him to have, but he's good at it and it keeps him occupied lol
