Chewing toys on me

Millie (4.5 months) is doing this and it's really annoying and I cannot get her to stop. When she has a toy she plays with it against our legs or against the edge of the sofa. We tell her no, make the ah-ah sound, off etc but nothing deters her. Anyone else have a pup that does this or know why they do it? Thanks!

Take the toy when she moves away give it back if she comes back repeat for as long as needed or work on a place command and she only gets the toy when she is in her place

Denna brings toys over to me so I can hold them while she chews on them. It's our interactive TV time. :)

I think she's trying to get you to play with her. Maybe if you schedule more time for some interactive games, she'd be more willing to stay on her bed/rug and self-entertain when inside.

You can teach her 'drop' (or 'give')... and every time she brings the toy to you to chew, have her 'drop' it... and then return it to her bed/rug. It shouldn't take too many repetitions for her to get it (toys are only to be chewed while on her rug/bed) - but still expect her to try to get you to play with her... often. It's a way for her to say "I love you". :)
