His ears are cropped as the breed was historically done. It is a personal choice the owner has opted to make for his puppy. It is still allowed in certain areas.

Lexinrose you have not seen this colour in a corso because it is not a corso colour. It appears to have liver pigament which was not a corso colour.

Historically done by hicks. Don't do that. Respect your dog.

Your opinion and you are entitle to it, just like those that choose to crop or dock. You don't have to like it but you do have to respect others rights to do as they choose without name calling or bashing or you will be removed.

I am neither a hick nor disrespectful of my dogs, please don't make assumptions when you know little of those on here or the history of the breed.

I haven't on in a while and found this old thread is alive. With regards to Tizers ears, they were done when i got him. I love the look and he is a real head turner...but... if he came with his ears uncropped i think they would have stay uncropped. Its a personal choice and everyone has their own opinion. I purchased Tizer after the breeder i was dealing with didnt work out. I purchased him from a guy about 2hrs from where i live in Toronto. He was with his littermate and living in not so great conditions. Tizer had a large mass on his shoulder which turned out to be a very bad infection. A few weeks of meds and he was fixed up. I purchased him but honestly i feel like i rescued him. I dont believe in fate or karma or pretty much anything but i can tell you that he is supposed to be here, snoring and slobbering beside me right now. He is from a backyard breeder im quite sure, and as a result he is having some issues in his back end. We are going to get xrays and tests done on Wednesday and start the process of dealing with what im assuming is hip dysplasia. If you are reading this and you're thinking about getting a puppy listen to the experts and do your homework. All of the experts and voices in my head wouldn't have stopped me from bringing him home that day last year and i dont regret it one bit. My bank account might but i won't :)

I am sorry to hear that, regardless of where you got him no pup should have to deal with that if at all possible to be prevented. I hope all turns out well for you both and will cross my fingers for Wednesday.
