  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Dexter is here!

After a long ride yesterday, we got home late last night. Pippa was waaayyy too excited, over the top. I'm concerned she will hurt him. Got a few hours of sleep, and have had 3 accidents in house[emoji853]. He wasn't crate trained, or his first night threw him off. But he screamed a lot, setting Pippa off, it was chaos. Finally Dexter slept on my sweater right beside my bed on the floor. Pippa crawled in bed with me. And we all slept. Outside, Pippa wants to jump around in circles and play rough. When I start love talking to Pippa she settles. But not for long. I know it will get better as the newness wears off. But it's so hard to get Dexter outside in time when Pippa's sniffing and messing with him. Her sit/stay goes out the window. Brought out the big guns-hot dogs and treated Pippa when's she ceased and desisted on command. That worked for awhile. I'm rambling

Ok things are much better today. Pippa is less excited and she's teaching him how to deal with Spot, evil cat with a thousand claws. Lots of napping after a big day yesterday.

Congratulations on new family adition :) but got to coment his pic in crate closed like in a zoo and i cant even imagine to put my little (not so little anymore) girl in the crate ,how wouldnt he scream a lot,but if that works for him its your choice after all you are his everything right now :) My 3 dogs boerboels and rottweiler never screamed or anything like that when they arrived at my and their new home, they settled first day and night like they were always there with no problems and stress for me. Many are expecting more pics of dexter.

I have the kennel to keep him safe until Pippa realizes she's bigger than he is. She is very rough with him so I can't risk her hurting him when I have to run out and leave them alone.

Dexter is adorable, it won't be long until the size difference isn't a problem. And once dexter as settled in they will learn how to play together, keep the pics coming,

Thanks glen. Yes she's a bit jealous so as long as I give her lots of praise and keep her calm, it's ok. Outside when Pippa gets to running in circles I have to keep Dexter outta the way!

He's adorable. Oh, all these puppy pictures make me long for another, but Bailey is too jealous and I am too old. However, I will continue to live vicariously through your lens. Keep the pics coming...I need my puppy crack!

I must've missed the "crates are terrible" memo around here... I don't know if you can hear me rolling my eyes through text.

Dexter is adorable! Have you ever used a prong with Pippa? Might be a good tool to control zoomies around the pup in initial stages (with plenty of outdoor time off-leash all to herself, obviously).

Pippa still gets a bit excited from time to time but I am able to see it before she gets harmful. Dex has grown a lot and also learned to lie down when she runs toward him so she doesn't knock him down. But no I don't use a prong collar. She responds well when I say "come to Momma". The word "Momma" quickly turns her into a sweetheart. It's so funny. She gets lots of loves when I say it and I can redirect her from anything.
