Spoiled dogs getting too used to me working from home

With the exception of Wednesday and today I worked from home all week. Apparently the dogs got really used to it because my husband sent me a text before leaving for work of the dogs pouting and laying down outside.

He said when he let them out for their last potty break they just laid down in the dirt and looked all sad and pouty.... I am guessing they got mopey when I left for work this morning and they realized they wouldn't get to be with me all day like they were yesterday.

My poor spoiled spoiled puppies. Well the weekend is almost here and they will get plenty of me and him then. :)

I hear you Nik. A pouting Mastiff is a terrible burden. They have the North, South, East and West distributorships of guilt! MEA CULPA! Oh...and I'm looking for a new gig which will be full time, and my poor girl will be miserable without her Mommy. I expect all types of misbehaviour will take place. Everything from pooping and peeing in the house to refusing to acknowledge me and clinging to her Dad. Woe Is Me.

So, Nik, I get it...most of our membership gets it. It doesn't matter who I speak to they suffer from their Mastiffs making them feel like bad pet parents. And we are not! We Are Great Pet Parents. Your dogs are so lucky that they came to your house, with your level of love. So, buck up, Honey, the Puppies will learn to go with the flow.... It just means clean up...aisle 1, 2, 3, 4...etc.,

I am very lucky that they don't typically leave messes for me. Just the awful adorable sad looks and mopeyness. And yes they adjust just fine when I am going to work daily but when I am able to stay home many days in a row they start to take it for granted. And I swear Diesel has this magical power when he wants something to make himself suddenly 20 times cuter than he is (and he is pretty cute to begin with). I swear his eyes grow in size, his forehead gains extra wrinkles and he has the perfect head tilt for adorableness down. Impossible to resist him when he does his magical super adorable transformation.
