Not a mastiff, but help us spread the word and find Stuart a home?

This is not at all about a mastiff, other than the fact that this boy has been living in my mastiff and boxer household for the last few months. His name is Stuart. I call him Stooby Doo. He came into my daughter's emergency clinic after being attacked by the other household dog while the family was gone. His injuries were serious and his owners were unable to care for him. He was only six months old and my daughter asked that he be signed over to her and she would take over the cost of his care rather than see him euthanized. Now, almost three months later, Stuart is ready for his forever home. We enlisted the help of a local rescue to help us place him, so he will be adopted under their contract and with an adoption fee. All of his vetting has been taken care of, as well as his neuter. Stooby is a good boy with amazing focus for his people. I know he's going to make someone a wonderful companion. Unfortunately not that many people seem interested in an energetic young boy that is clearly a pit mix. Please share Stuart's petfinder link anywhere and everywhere. We're located in NW Indiana, not far from Chicago. Thank you!

Oh he is just beautiful! I honestly don't understand the hesitation towards dogs that look pit mix. I don't know if I have any contacts in the area to refer your way but I do hope he gets scooped up quickly. <3

We've had only one person interested in three months and they were turned down because of a pit clause in their lease.

He is a handsome boy! We seem to not live too far from each other so I shared him on my Facebook page :)

I am so happy you found that beautiful boy a home. I am afraid that we may have to be a two dog home only even when we have a bigger place because Kahlua is very prickly around other dogs. We can get her into a calm relaxed state (with Diesel's help) so long as the other dogs are submissive but she is still always on alert to see if she needs to fight or put the other dogs in their place.
