How does your dog signal it wants something

Jarena, my mini schnauzer Sophie does the same thing. She stands in front the bowl and looks at it, then at me, then back at the bowl, then at me like seriously, where's the water? Dogs are frickin awesome!!

Coal Jumps.jpg Coal Jumps.jpg I get the "woof, woof" when Mr. Chev wants to go out...so he can "woof woof" to get back in. Coal, the black lab, makes pig noises. Funny how our dogs know exactly when it is food-time. And honestly, both the lab and our mastiff know how to spell words like "o u t" and "r i d e" and "g o". Trying to let me wife know what my plans with the dogs are is.....getting tougher by the day with these "spelling bee dogs." Pic is Mr. Coal jumping through a hula hoop on his way to a spelling lesson.

Nik, I like the way you are a "well known member." That is awesome. I'm just "active." So are my dogs except right now...it is bedtime. Mr. Cheevers, or Chev is like a bag of flour this time of night. CU

Ditto. And if I'm in the next room, she'll go to her bowl shuffle...make a huge sigh, and if I'm not on my feet and obeying, she'll come to the doorway of the living room and STARE AT ME! If I still Don't budge then comes the pitiful whines and growlets letting me know, I am delinquent in my duty...the foot stomping is the final straw. I'd better be up by then because she's really put out!

Molly lays her head on something nearby and looks at you and will whine ever so lightly. We had taught her to ring a bell to go outside to potty so sometimes when she gets desperate for attention, she will ring the bell. You can tell the difference with the bell ringing by her posture what she wants. If she needs to go out she stands by the bell, if she wants something else she sits by the bell. When it's really bad, she'll do both: she'll ring the bell and then lay her head on the couch next to you and then run back and ring the bell again.
