Lots of puke - a very unhappy Kahlua

Yesterday Kahlua started puking up after every meal starting in the morning before her first meal of the day. She is still pooping, peeing, drinking water and interested in food. She does prefer eating alone not near Diesel as of this morning though.

We have these little crab apples raining down from our neighbors tree which we toss whenever we find them but every now and then we catch her with one. They don't get unsupervised time in the yard so their access to dangerous stuff is pretty limited. But, since I am super pregnant now it has mostly been left to my husband to watch them during outside time as I am having a hard time getting up and down the stairs now. My husband is not nearly as paranoid and vigilant in watching them as I am so it could be she ate something she shouldn't have likely crab apples.

The puke has all been regular dog food puke though. Nothing unusual in it. No blood or weird stuff. Her poo was normal and firm. She is definitely not as peppy as normal which I also wouldn't be if my stomach was that upset. Today I am trying small meals only and we will try a rice/chicken meal reset tonight for her dinner. If that does not work we will be off to the vet next. Anyone else have any other ideas of things we can try or should check for today?

Quick update: After the first puke yesterday morning we switched to super tiny meals and for the evening meals did a boiled chicken and rice tummy reset for Kahlua. She hasn't thrown up since yesterday morning and has had a few bowl movements and is definitely acting more like herself today. She still isn't her totally normal crazy self but her energy is ramping back up. So I think whatever she ate that she shouldn't have has passed through her system. :)

You did everything just right. I'm glad she's feeling better. Last thing you need is to be cleaning up poop and puke. At least not yet. That's coming soon enough, lol.

I tend to have to deal with this every August when the crab apples start to fall. Jiggers can very lethargic and used to vomit and get the runs. For him it is because he eats too many of the fallen apples and it upsets his system.

Ah, the apples!
Denna's first overnight at "grandma's" was her first foray into the joy of apples everywhere on the ground... I think some of the ones she ate were partially fermented, too. I had no idea the neighbors even had an apple tree when we left Denna there for a weekend stay.

She was up every hour all night making grandma take her outside...
Grandma thought she was stressed from being homesick, lol. Nope. Too many apples!

Glad Kahlua is feeling better!
Boxergirl's comment about the soon-to-be coming poop and puke at your place made me LOL.

Yep, probably the apples. We pass by a couple of the trees on our walks and Bailey is interested. I drag her away, but, not because of stomach issues...It's because of the wasps that are hanging around, especially the yellow jackets. Our poor Beagle was stung by 50 or more...not going down that road again. It was really touch and go, thank God our vet knew what to do.

Glad your girl is better, you need the whole family healthy so that you and your bundle can get to the big day without any more stressors.

Oh, and the poop thing...odd, but even the worst ones are cute when your baby produces them. Your dogs will be your early warning system that a diaper change is imminent
