Welcome to fall in Alberta

I have no idea how much snow has fallen because it is drifting so some places are bare while others are over 3 feet high.

Ugh. My oldest daughter moved to Montana last May. She was lucky and the snow just missed her in Billings. From what I hear, this winter is predicted to be a pretty bad one.

Jiggers looks like he's saying, "What's happening? I wasn't finished with Summer, let alone Fall!"

Funny, I was so focused on Jiggers, I didn't see the big guy in the back saying he's just fine with the change. Snow Angels coming up!

Turns out we got over 60 cm in about 48 hours. We are supposed to get into the high teens by the weekend so it looks like the only lasting effect of this storm is that all the deciduous trees have dropped their leaves, even if they were still green.

It looks like we may have skipped fall this year. We have had a second snowfall although much smaller and now have negative lows in temperature overnight and the highs are about 15C below normal. There is more snow in the short term forecast. At least Kryten will like it.

YUCK! My daughter lives about 20 minutes from Calgary. She's was complaining about the snow and cold.... but her Molly ( boarder call Lee ) loved it!

My daughter in Montana got hit with snow too. She wasn't prepared for the cold. She's 7 months pregnant and hadn't considered that her winter coats wouldn't zip over her belly. I'm sorry to say I laughed.
