hello everyone I currently have a 10 month old Female corso named Gia! I just reserved a male pup from Croatia. By the time I bring the male home the girl be a little over a year old. I am just hoping for some collective Do's and Dont's as far as introducing the pup with my girl. Some things specifically like how keep the feeding/toy situation civil

A little background on the girl is shes very sweet with people, almost overly sweet. Very inquisitive about other dogs but is generally very friendly with others. She does tend to mirror the others dogs behavior i.e other dog barks, she barks. Other dog jumps around, she jumps around. other dog calm, she calm.

here are a couple pics of her she is about 7 months in these. She is from Wildwood Cane Corso in Akron. And Daughter of the late Scandifio's Kado

If you do not already feed your current dog in her crate start doing so. When you get the pup always feed him in his crate. That automatically reserves the space for each to feed with out the other getting in the way or being threatening.

She's lovely!

She is still young so you won't get a full feel for her temperament just yet. We have some females that while not really liking dogs outside of their pack will not react to them, they instead turn to us to deal with the situation. If they feel it isn't being dealt with they will fix the situation themselves. I would try to introduce them in neutral territory, don't let the puppy make a pest of himself and make sure you adult dog has a place that is a puppy free zone to get away from him when she needs to. I agree with feeding in separate locations, we feed all out dogs in their crates to avoid issues. The rest you will kind of have to play by ear when you get him. Ensure you devoite separate training time to both of them.
