6 Month feeding amount - EM

Our EM is 6 months old and seems to always be hungry lately. She is fed TOTW Sierra Mountain..Protein: 25% Minimum, Fat: 15% Minimum
Calcium: 1.6%, as-fed; Phosphorus: 1.0%, as-fed
Calories: 3,611 kcal/kg (338 kcal/cup) Calculated Metabolizable Energy
It says on the bag 5-6 cups a day for ages 5-7 months.

We were feeding her 2 cups each feeding - three times a day so 6 cups. Last week she started laying or pawing at her bowl through out the day or she run to her food like she was just starving when it was time to each so I added a 1/2 cup to two of her feedings. She is getting 7 cups now. Is this too much? I worry since this a richer grain free food that I'm going to give her too much of something.

I included some recent pics of her, I can see her ribs when she's playing some times. She's not too skinny, right? She is 68lbs at 6 Months. This is our first EM so not sure. 08312013675.jpg08312013676.jpg08312013683.jpg

Leo was like that and so I up his to 3 cups morning and 2 cups afternoon and 3 cups nite...so for him he had enough...and then he started around 6 months to slow down...I guess he was having a growing time and they dont eat as mush...your puppy looks real good ..if he/she is throwing up the food after they eat then you are giving to mush...but if you want to give more there is no rule about it ..but someone else might say different who has more experience them me and Leo is growing just fine and is not to fat..here is a photo of him from yesterday...btw in the photo he does look thin but its the way he is standing..and he just turned 9 months

If she is truly hungry, I would feed her more. As long as her poop stays solid and she is not overweight she may just be growing and need more. Ruger went through a lot of growth spurts at that age and I fed acordingly and he did fine. Then he got a little older and the growth slowed and he ate less. Now he is growing again and he is back up there. :)

Kryten always needed more than what the bag recommended for what ever food he was getting. I just transitioned him onto TOTW Sierra Mountain and he is eating 8c a day. I think that amount is recommended amount for the 9-12 month range at his weight. He is 19 months.
I agree with Rugers-Kris about adding more if she needs it. If things start to loosen up or she starts to get pudgy then cut back.
