Cody do not take offense to what I am posting. I have stated that my dog is going to the vet. I have also stated I CANNOT get an appointment for what has now been 2 days going on 3. Do you let your dog pace at night trying to sleep? I stated he doesnt seem in pain however last night for the first night he lost sleep. A baby aspirin isnt going to kill a 100 lb dog, if you ask people how to use it properly. just like benedryl etc if used properly and not abused it can be done. I was asking for opinions. As for HD the breeder has saw his movement and says he does not have any signs of HD and minor signs of Pano. I am just asking opinions and appreciate your feedback but dont mean to offend you or anyone I will never do anything to hurt him thats why I am asking first.

He does not receive exercise besides the typical stroll through the yard when releasing his bowels and light playing in the house.
All we can go on here is the information given. From this statement I had to ask about the exercise, as you state he does not receive any. As far as the popping and cracking, I have heard of several and owned one pups that have had this and ended up with a very short lived life. I have never heard of it in relation to growing pains which I have seen as well. May I ask who your breeder is? I do not know many, if any, who will claim that they can see whether or not a dog/puppy has HD (unless of course severe) and be able to differentiate between serious issues and growing pains.

We did xrays. The hips were fine... No issues in the viewing of knees either. My dog was viewed by a surgeon as well and did not want to do surgery because of growth plates not fully done growing. As a pup the vets here at NC state Vet School say that growing pains doesn't actually mean the dog is in "pain" ... Not everything grows at the exact same time so some popping noises can happen at this stage due to the dog growing.. yes do I think he should be looked at?!? Absolutely!!! However... We do not need to start worrying over things we don't know until a professional has ruled out any issues.

Reno1 where does the noise sound like its coming from?!? When?!? Is it after he rests?!? After exercising?!? In the morning once he wakes up?!? Video tape it with your phone so when you take him to the vet they can hear it! I videoed plenty and at different times/ days.. Just a thought and tryin to help.
