Yes, I can see how it would be a real mystery to you. I mean, you're just here to offer your honest criticism about everything. It's not your fault that all those unqualified pet owners got their feelings hurt. Really, they should just be glad that you took the time to enlighten them with your vast knowledge. I mean, it probably took you a long time to Google all that info about Corsos and dog nutrition. Just because those people might have actually owned CCs for years or fed their dogs raw diets for years doesn't mean they actually know anything. Truly, we are lucky to have you here. We really need someone to filter all the information on the internet and feed it to us in small bites. That's so much more useful than listening to others drone on about their real-world experience.

And as for those people who can't spell, well we don't need them anyway. Especially the ones who might be from other countries. *shudder* I know when I post on websites that are in other languages, I make a point to learn that language perfectly before chiming in. It's just common courtesy, really.
You have just become my new hero!:lolbangtable:

Well... ZoesOwner - I think you may have a better idea of the forum you've joined after reading all the "adult" humor, above ! LOL!

IMO this is an AWESOME forum!
There is a LOT of experience and knowledge contained in our moderators and all our users. Some of us have dog experience, but are new to mastiffs, and others are new to dogs - some are young people just starting out.

So, one thing I would offer - is that we all need to remember we're only getting part of the story from people who post here. There are many details and circumstances which are not shared.

Because we may never know the "whole story" - it is best to offer kind advice, not criticisms. Also, remember that it's hard to read 'tone' correctly via the written word... so even well-intentioned comments can sometimes go awry.

There is a whole thread somewhere on here about the "barbarian" tradition of ear cropping... I learned a lot from reading it, too! I like natural ears, but some of the CC's here are strikingly beautiful with their fancy cropped ears! :)

I hope you stay with us - it sounds like you have some useful information to share. Just have to remember there are other experts among us with what may be different information - and it all may valid and applicable, depending on the situation.

And that's just my two (or three) cents!

Well said! This is a great forum, I love it and have learned so much in my short time of being here. I have learned by reading, asking, listening and having an open mind. I have learned that as much as I thought I knew about Mastiffs and being a dog owner, I knew very little. I am humbled by the knowledge that is here. The different opinions and experiences are not always the way I would do things but that is not to say they are wrong, they are right for that person at that time. i hope I have been able to help and share with one or two people in return for eveything I have been given, for free, out of a mutual love for our beloved Mastiffs. I hope I have treated everyone with respect as they have treated me, from day one. ZoesOwner my advice to you would be to stick around, these are fantastic people with a wealth of knowledge. We dont profess to know it all but what we do know we are happy to share and help out of the goodness of our heart. And we dont take ourselves too seriously, we are all human at the end of the day. we all make mistakes and no one judges us for them. Some times its hard to communicate with the written word, feelings, tones of voice dont come across in type, thats something we need to remember when expressing ourselves. Finally some of our members may not be well educated or as literate as others and yes it does take a little extra effort to understand their posts but we dont judge, we dont hurt peoples feelings or throw their weaknesses in their faces. We enjoy their company as much as the next person because that is what they are, a person. You never know what or why and until you have walked a mile in someones shoes then I feel it is best to have respect for every single member and human being and accept them for who they are. They have feelings just as you do. If you do decide to stick around you will be sure to be welcomed with open arms, but respect is something to be earned, do it slowly and humbly, you will get much further than you would coming in all guns a blazing.
