Has anyone ever heard of Aces High Bullmastiffs? We are thinking of getting a new pup, and we had seen a couple they had online. We are in Arizona, and they are in Oklahoma. I know its a long shot, but worth a try. Thanks.

Have you talked to them at all yet?

First impressions looking at their site:

the Mastiff Property Laws made me laugh

the credit card info front and almost center made me roll my eyes

They mention that BMs should be health tested on their breed info page, but don't state that THEY do, I was only able to find ONE dog with their kennel name on the OFA site: Orthopedic Foundation for Animals note that "mild" on the hips means the dog is rated as dysplastic. AKC lists 34 dogs with their kennel name, so the lack of health testing information is concerning to me.

They're also not listed on the Bullmastiff club's breeder page. Now I tend to take this with a grain of salt cause the TM club sucks and MANY MANY breeders can't even join the club much less get added to the list (which isn't even public anyway), but its something worth noting.

When I googled the name a link came up from Bulldogbreeds.com where someone was discussing this breeder. I have to say i agree with the direction that discussion was going...no history of any kind of work for these dogs; no health testing on these dogs, at least I couldn't find any in OFA. Maybe they have the paperwork from OFA as well as any conformation shows on site. It's probably worth a trip, since there's not a lot of info out there about them.

Sorry; forgot to post the link:

Hips could be Pennhip, but elbows have to be OFA I believe, though I'm not sure if the rest has to be. In theory they could have done most of the rest and just not sent it in to be certified, but in comparison to the cost of doing the testing the OFA fees aren't very high, so there's not much reason NOT to send it in. However I will note that OFA allows you to hide "bad" results so that they're not public. I'd want to know WHY there's a lack of OFA certification on their dogs, and expect them to have copies of the health tests for you to see (or the Pennhip cert for the hips).

I got a puppy from Jimmy at Aces High Bullmastiffs and right off the plane it had skin problems a red rash under it's belly. The dog turned out be nothing but problems as far health. She weighs 80#'s, food allergies, ear infection, skin problems and had to have her eyes operated on. They said many times that they would send me a replacement puppy and never did. I had up words of $4500 in vet bill by the time the dog was 2yrs old.

I just received my puppy on Wednesday and she is awesome. temperament color and size is great. Aces High followed through with everything he told me he would do. I would recommend getting your bullmastiff from Jimmy.
I live In Boston and he arrived just In time for thanksgiving.
We named Her Mollie and weighs 19 pounds at just 8 weeks old.

Back In 2011 my wife and I bought a bull mastiff puppy
from Jim @aces high bullmastiff. We live in NY so my puppy was Shipped to us. As soon as we picked him up we
brought Him to our vet to get checked out. At 3 months old he was diagnosed with entropion. Not knowing anything
About it and after some research, we realized the only way to fix the problem was surgery. At 5 months old they
Performed surgery to repair his eyes by removing excess
Skin from his eye lids so that his eye lashes didn't continue
To roll into his eye balls. I called the breeder to inform him of the situation and maybe pay half the bill but he denied
Everything and said that the dig was perfect when he left
Oklahoma. That's where everything went down hill. In July of 2012 my boy collapsed. At 125 lbs I had to pick him up
And carry him to my car so we can get him to the
Emergency room. Through many tests and alot of
Heartache and time and money we found out he had a heartProblem called SVT( super ventricular tachycardia) which is an irregular heart beat. Something that is not common in
dogs. I brought to the Animal Medical Center in NYC. Other than cornell university, it is the best hospital for animals in
The country. After the first heart episode , he collapsed a
Second time. After more testing , he was put on a heart
Medication for the rest of his life, 2 pills 2x daily. In June of 2013 he blew out his ACL on his back right leg. After weeks
Of research it required a more intense surgery for repair
And 8 weeks of recovery time. After that was complete we noticed a bump on his from right leg just above his wrist.
We had X-rays done and 6 different opinions to find out
My baby boy had bone cancer. It was one of the hardest
days of our life. With a wife 6 months pregnant and
$30,000.00 later we had very few options. They talked
About amputation but my dog came into this world with 4
Legs and he was leaving with 4 legs. At 151 lbs 3 legs
Would be tough to get around on. Unfortunately , due to a
Careless procedure by an animal hospital on an
Incompetent vet , we had to put our baby to sleep on
December 2nd 2013. He is very much missed and will be
for a very long time.. R.I.P cooper.. Mom , Dad & Brayden miss you more and more everyday. We lopve you babies!
I hope this will help anybody who is even contemplating on buying a dog from Aces high bull mastiff. The owner is full
of sh*t and has no sympathy for any issue reported.
