  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

And then, there were 3.

Magee's been going downhill quickly for some time. Yesterday when she tried to get up, her rear legs splayed out behind her, and she whimpered. For all she's been through..diabetes & blood sugar testing twice a day for 4 years, constant battles with UTIs, cataracts, glaucoma...she has always been very stoic & complacent. Never a reaction to anything we've ever had to put her through. So, that little whimper was her way of saying, "It's time." We had a long talk with her; she didn't smile, or wag her tail...it was time.
The vet came out yesterday afternoon. We put Magee in her wagon, and as soon as her friend the vet said "Hi Magee!", she put her leg out. She went very quietly. Sunny, Ruby, & Bella were there. We put her under the magnolia tree. RIP, Topps Sita Magnolia, THD. You are, & always will be, the Magee-est Magee in the whole world.

Oh my goodness, I am so so so sorry! I'm sitting here crying for you. It's just been that kind of week to begin with and you losing your sweet girl was the icing on the cake. Thinking of you and your family at this time :(

Magee 001.jpgThis is a watercolor portrait done by a friend from photos of the dogs. I know the pic is lousy but I didn't want to take it down from the wall. Anyways how depressing is this? Upper left, Magee RIP; upper right Sunny, lower left Bella, lower right Deedee RIP; center Stormy RIP. 3 of 5 dogs in the last 3 years. And Stormy was not even 2 years old.

Magee 007.jpg

Another framed photo on the wall; Magee & Spiderman the lemur before she went blind & Spiderman gained sexual maturity. They were best buds. After Magee went blind, she accidentally stepped on Spiderman's tail, & he bit her. She didn't want to play with him after that.

Im not a religious man at all, but for me the best thing you can do for someone you loose that you love is to simply remember them everyday, and smile a bit, not because they are gone, but because of what they did for you and what you did for them, while they were here. Its always to soon. Best wishes to you and yours in a trying time.

Hey Ruby you do you have a clearer picture? The painting looks awesome from what I can tell just hard to make out.
I'll try to get a clearer picture, but it's been professionally mounted & framed. While I could take it apart to get the glass off & put it back together (I used to work if Framing @ Michaels), it's a lot of work. It IS an awesome painting. It's in watercolor though so the brindles look a little washed out. But I walked in & it was on the table with a note, & I knew instantly who each dog was.
