Hey all I just adopted an English mastiff female (Lucy) that we didn't know her age till now , she was used for breeding and only breeding and she was found in a cage in a garden and the women who is breeding her didn't say anything about her but people living in the area said that Lucy was in a cage for the last year we can also see this from her teeth three front teeth are broken we think that it's from trying to escape. One vet said she's 8 years and the other said she's above 6 I don't believe them both I think she is 5 max but I don't know and i don't care. She's in good health except for some skin problems but under treatment now. She's under weight (54 kg) and she walks normally without any problems in her bones. Any advice would be helpful to me as its my first giant pet. She's now a part of the family she's living with Molly my golden retriever female 1.7 months ThanksRead more: From Egypt with love *** - Mastiff Forum

You got some great advice when you posted about this in a different thread. Not sure what else you'd like ppl to say so I'll start by saying the exact same thing I did when you asked for help/advice the first time. Here goes: "Salute for adopting her! My advice is treat her like u would any dog of yours. Her past is her past. Don't live in it. A lot of times ppl will spoil, coddle and baby a rescue because they feel sorry for it. That doesn't help the dog or the owner. Also, don't over feed it in hopes to put weight on it. The weight will come back naturally without needing to over feed." Carpe Diem

Hahahahaha very few things as magical as a purple couch. Couch 1 of 2. I think I saw some wood paneling in the background. For the win.
