Thanks for the info and tips! I’m going the non surgical route.
So this week I took Bella to work with me Monday to Thursday.... I believe she has had a very good week resting under my nose....
I’ve already noticed she’s not hunching her back as much. Stopped in at the Vet clinic and the Vet noticed how much better she was doing also.
I’m still having issues getting Bella into my car.

So I’ll keep her resting over the next 6 to 8 weeks and we’ll see.

Bella is extremely lucky to have such a wonderful & caring owner! I am sure all will be fine. One day at a time. Best wishes...

Ok so I told you I was having problems getting Bella into my car.... and that I’ve been lifting up her back end helping her into the back of my car..... well last night while I was slicing zucchini for my lasagna .... silly me I was distracted and I sliced my finger at the end down to the bone.... 8 stitches and one X-ray later....

Not sure how I’ll be able to lift Bella’s back end into my car now.... any ideas? My milk carts didn’t work. It has to be lite enough for me to left into my car

Oh no! Poor Bella and poor you. The grocery bag slings work well. Darn it. I had a lift harness from Al that was way too big that I donated just last month. I think if you only need to help her into the car the grocery bag thing will work. I only went with my custom (lol, by me) lift harness because Al needed more front end help at the end. The grocery bag worked great when it was just his rear end needing a little help.

Thank you Boxergirl.... part of the issue is I have 3 herniated disks in my back from a car accident.... my body healed everywhere except my back....My dr tells me I can't lift anything heavier then 25lbs .... Bella's back end is just a little over that I think...lol

Thanks! The ramp is very reasonable in price....I'll have to check that out

I have the Solvit ramp mentioned above. It works great when Kryten is willing to use it.

I'm pretty lucky, Bella will do pretty much anything I ask of her....if she understands what it is I want

Thank you for asking Bailey's Mom.....
Well she will be looking and feeling better because I'm making her take it easy.... then my husband forgets and lets her outside before I get home without restriction.... as soon as she sees me pull in she goes nuts running in circles.....then pays the price for the next week again..... I'm stopping in to the vets tonight... I'm hinting about getting them to cast her both hind legs for 6 to 8 weeks.... replacing every week or so. We use to do it to injured horses way back when. More so on the high strong young ones.
Bella fits that discription high strong horse o_O

Perfect timing! I was just about to post a picture of Baby Bella sporting her new braces.
She has had a couple really ruff weeks because of her getting a visit from her play buddy Dozer... his a Bull Mastiff....just one year older then Bella..... Our cousins came over the last 2 weekend with Dozer and of course Bella has over done it running around.... well really hopping around with her 2 back legs..... this last visit I wasn't aware Dozer was here and brought Bella out with out her lease.... of course both dogs were so excited.... they ran around playing for a bit before I could get a handle on Bella.....so since Saturday night I've had to help Bella stand up as she just couldn't do it on her own.... so yesterday her new better braces came in.....I was so excited for her.... So as of this last weekend we are a no Dozer zone until further notice.... And no off lease out doors..... Oh also on Monday night I took Bella outside for her after dinner business and there was a couple walking their dog on the road..... Bella took off and charged and attacked this poor lab.... I've never seen her like this! I do know and understand it's fear aggression do to her injuries..... So for the next 2 months our beautiful Baby Bella is on bed rest.... she's coming to my office daily so I can keep her Braces on her all day and only take them off at night when we all go to bed.
I still need to get her into see Meghan "Vet" to assess and to talk to her about casting Bella.... the braces are pretty good....but I just feel if we demobilize both back knees that would help her heal a lot quicker.....we'll give her a chance to heal.

Never any reactivity to dogs or people in any way before this? Fear issues before this?

Yes she has.... but really this all started after she was hit by a car in my driveway.... trying not to swear here.... then over the next year and a 1/2 of miss diagnosed.... over and over again  Really am very angry with myself for not taking her to someone else sooner.
Right now she’s very well behaved in my presence .... So for right now only my granddaughter , my dad and myself are allowed to handle her. She will go with me if my dad and granddaughter can’t puppy sit.... or I don’t go. I truly believe with just us 3 working with her over the next 2 months will help a lot. I also believe once she’s not in so much pain this aggression will pass. I’m very lucky that I can take her into the office with me. I’ll see if having these braces on her more threw out the day will help
oh and I’m truly amazed that her hip check came back .... now how in the heck could the university certify her hips with such badly injured knees.... I don’t get that

Hopefully things start getting better soon. Orthopedic issues take alot of management but once you figure out what works for your situation things do seem to get easier in my experience.
As for her hips being certified good while her knees are bad, the xrays only show how the skeleton is connected. Bad joints in one part of a limb won't necessarily have any impact on the other joints structure and since the sedation used will relax the muscles that might be affecting the motion because of the injured/bad joint the skeleton will relax to its natural position. When Kryten had his second fragment break loose and had xrays taken before his surgery they did his entire front leg. The surgeon did mention that she was impressed by how there was no indication of arthritic changes in either his shoulder or wrist despite years of instability in his elbow and definite arthritis inside the elbow joint.

Well Bella had a much better weekend this week. I have both legs braces. She try’s to rub them off silly girl. Once she gets use to them then she’s good. Tonight she even felt well enough to try to play with Sunny. Sunny wasn’t impressed at all.
