biothane slip leash

Got a biothane slip leash. I actually don't like it as much as I thought I would. The material is thin and twists at the slip ring because the material is pretty soft. I wish it was 2 ply or somewhat thicker. The maker originally made me a leash with the wrong finish (shiny and stiff), but after using this I prefer the shiny stiff one for this length of leash.

Are there different kinds of biothane or something? I have a biothane leash that I use every day and prefer to the leather leash. It feels a lot like my leather leash, but it's more flexible and allows a better grip. Then I also have a biothane collar that feels stiff and kind of plasticky. I must say that your slip leash looks good on Hector though.

Yes there are different kinds of biothane. The prong leash synthetic leather I bought from leerberg was very thick and sturdy and would be bulky and heavy if it were a long line. This one has a soft feel to it, but it's thin. I also have another long line that feels the same, but is thinner in width. He also had the stiff shiny one that also grips well. So far the thin width soft feeling biothane has held up well to full lunging. I like biothane long lines because I can wash them.

He's 110 lb atm. I don't know how tall he is, maybe 21 inches at the withers.

The shop owner asked me if I wanted to buy the shiny leash at a discount. There was a problem with the stopper because the material had swelled and actually inhibited the stopper from moving. It's the only reason I sent it back, but he is offering it to me at a discount with the stopper fixed.

I was just thinking the same hector coat is so shiny, he's stunning I love seeing pics of him.I'm looking for a leash similar to that, very limited stores so gotta be the internet, what would you recommend to get, we want something sturdy with a bit longer leash.

You can find them easily on etsy.com. Search biothane leash. Most of the leashes look thin like the one in the pics and I don't like the feel of that for large strong dogs. I prefer the stiff shiny material, but it may be just as strong. If you're looking for a sturdy one, I suggest getting one from leerburg. I had a prong leash that was synthetic leather and it was thick and strong. It is a bit bulky, but not more than a standard 3/4 width leather leash. I also have a 10 ft supergrip leash that is biothane, but with dots on the leash so it makes it super grip. It truly is super grip. It will grip on to clothes and the dog easily, but if you're talking 4 ft or 6 ft leash, it won't be a big deal. It is heavy and bulky, but you'll love it once you get used to it.
