I went through much the same thing when we got our puppy-and it can drive you crazy! Using the parameters I learned from those on this forum(who actually know what they're talking about) I chose to go with the BB Wilderness, salmon flavor. Just the regular adult, not large breed. I have been really happy with how he's done on it-it has worked very well for us. I know nothing of the Verus to be of any help. Just know what has worked for us.
