Just had a random guy on my porch at 1 am to ask me about (name) living here... No. And never been. Jack already told you she doesn't. They had a white van parked right in front of my house (there was another guy in the car).

My doggies are usually friendly. Not now! I've seen a Corso being a Corso and the Neos girls deep bark rattling the windows.

I don't recall any similar incident really. First time when they REALLY went into full protection and it's bloody scary - I'm pretty sure any bad intentions instantly vanished.

Jack sprinted right from deep sleep at the door without making a sound - I found him up on the glass door on 2 legs growling low at the guy's face level, all teeth visible, hackles up and a ferocious expression. The girls grouped around me had the deep Neo bark. It wasn't a pretty sight. I'm sure they would've literally ripped him off if he had enough time to break in the living room. He did already open the porch door.

And I don't want to think what would ve happened if I haven't had them by my side. :(

Wowzers- so glad to hear your pack had your back - and front. That must have been nerve wracking. I would think once they got a look at Jack, your place would be permanently scrubbed from their list, let alone the girls backing him up.

glad the pack reacted ...and the incident finished without any complications and injuries but i guess no intruder would want to mess with Neos and corsos!..interesting enough it is known that CAO dogs are fierce guardians but it is known that some have a strange way of guarding when it comes to intruders: they let the intruder go inside the house but will not let him go out!!!! glad that was not your case ...

Just reading that made my own hackles rise.... with a shiver running down my back.

That must have been very SCARY.

Thank god you had your doggies with you.

Living in todays mad world, it's very comforting having our four legged furry companions with us.

If I were you, I would report this incident to the Police, just in cast there are other break in's or attempted reak in's in your area. Having a description of both people and vehicle, can be very important in an investigation.

Take a deep breath, sit down, and hug your pups.

Did I ever metion the folks who came home, to find the intruder sitting on top of the kitchen fridge, yelling for help.

Their Dobermann was pacing around the kitchen, letting out the famous Dobby bark, all teeth flashing every time the guy so much as twitched.

That's what Jack somehow did: the guy was on the porch/sunroom (which is usually locked, being closed by big double doors). I attach a photo. It opens up in the living room. There's another door (which WAS locked) between the living and porch. The guy passed the first one but didn't unlock the one between living room and porch.

Jack was sound asleep in my bed and sprinted from sleep, in a second, without barking or any sound. I found him up glued to the locked glass door between porch and living room, trying to get at the guy. He started barking AFTER he tried to get him and couldn't do it. I called Jack back as I was afraid the glass is gonna break. He did get off the glass door but kept his frenzy. Hard to explain how my soft boy looked like. Looked like a feral animal, basically. He was "the first line of defense" (and honestly I guess he was enough... Was SCARY. THAT was aggression. ).
The girls came from the back when they''ve heard Jack growling low. The girls were doing the background music, Jack was doing the dance. The girls kept their stance. Neos...

Glad that it all ended with the guy leaving.
Yes, it is scary to see your sweet babies going into crazy wolf mode, but at least you know that it's scary for the other person as well, and much more so.

Can't see your picture, but glad that your boy showed his mettle.

I guess the girls figured that if the guy went through Jack, they would disassemble what was left of him.

How old are your pups by the way?

Glad everyone is ok. How were the dogs afterwards ? Were they unnerved for a while? Did they stick close to your side?

the porch/sunroom is behind my child in this photo. There's a sliding door betwwen living room and porch that was locked. The guy was on the porch and Jack was up jumping on the glass. Girls were pretty much in the same spot as here.

Second photo is Jack on the porch.

Dates of births in my signature: approx 2 years old all. :)

Now I see the pictures, thanks.

So just a pane of glass and one Jack pup between you and danger.

Thank goodness for your doggies.

I asked about their ages, because I was wondering how old they were to have this protective response.

yes... pretty much, just a glass. That's all the security: and the doggies. Not sure if they didn't show it earlier just because they had no reason.. this was the first real threat they encountered.

They were not. As soon as the guy went back to the car and took off the dogs went happy wiggly wiggly tails and went to sleep.
I was unnerved - they were not, not at all.

So glad your OK and your babies protected you . It is always unreal the first time you see them like that and I'm sure they must reverse it . It's like they know who's to go where in an instant . The first time my 3 did it is was in shock and I'm sure you will be too. My 3 did similar 2 near me budcuss upfront until another one came near gandalf then moved forward amazing now I think again.
Please take care keep them close and be safe.
