Gettin up there!

Still on track with Jr, I think! Are you still weighing him? I thought Mason would have his hunky-man face by 120, but it's still all baby. (Or maybe my perspecitive is skewed. :p)

M&M - Georgeous pups!!

We haven't been to the vet in a little while. Last I weighed him he had lost a couple of pounds. I attribute it to him swimming and romping through the park every day. He's due for some shot updates next month and we'll weigh him there. :)

If I recall my first Corso, he was 18 at 9 weeks, 45 at 4 months, 105 at one year, 115 at year 2, and topped out at 130. When he turned 7, switched him to Sr. Large breed and he got down to a very nice 120. Lean muscle

Hello,I notice this is kinda of off topic but i just recently Took in (fostering) a 6 month old solid black gorgeous corso about 60 pounds huge block head.I'm in love <3 thing is I have 4 Chihuahuas (they don't mind big dogs but have never lived with one).I noticed u have Yorkies :D and was wondering how your transition went as ,I'am really considering keeping him!Problem is I have a 8 month old 2 n a half pound chihuahua who is a bit frightening off him understandably so he is huge compared to her.He does not bark back at her if she barks at him he completely ignores her just sniffs and wags his big tail.He did try to chase her only Once around our acre of land but I corrected him and he is VERY eager to Please. His name was Moe ,which I think confusing to him too much like NO so we renamed him Noah.He gets along well with my 8 year old 5 pound male chihuahua excellent as my male chi is not fearful at all of big dogs and female 1 year old 5 pound chihuahua also. he is doing ok with my 10 month old 6 pound chihuahua but my tiny lil cupcake 2 n a half pound baby is weary and scarred of him.I should say they(chihuahuas) because he(noah, corso) doesn't have a problem with any of them just male humans.Which ive been working on only had him for two days now and he is adjusting pretty fast and well way more than i thought no one is separated at all ALWAYS WATCHED!I want to make sure they all fell as if they are part of the pack no ones alienated my lil chihuahua cupcake 2 pounds n a half will lay next to him and me but if he moves around her she gets fearful. He is not showing any signs of aggression towards her but I just don't want him too at all since I want to keep him so bad!!he doesn't need to be shifted to another home.We have the yard space and love and knowledge of large breeds despite are little buddies we have now. When I lost my solid black great dane (he reminds me so much of)I just have stuck to smaller foster dogs that I've ended up falling in love with :p.so basically im seeking some good advise on training him the right time and place to use his high pray drive. His previous foster home had cats in which he chased and mouthed one playfully also mouthed their 6 year old child,as he is a puppy.Cant have that with the chihuahuas too!He hasn't shown any mouthing of play only chased once and once i corrected him he was sad and could tell he got it.He is very eager to please highly smart and we exercise him allot with all the space he has to run.SO ANY advice would help with his mouthing an transitioning with the tiny ones.
Thanks Toni

I was looking for Ruby's shot records, for therapy dog renewal, & finally remembered to look up her growth chart. She was born on 3/8/10.

5/7/10: 17.8 lbs
6/16/10: 42.4 lbs
7/7/10: 52.5 lbs
8/5/10: 61.4 lbs
9/29/10: 75.6 lbs
6/21/11: 100.8 lbs
7/9/11: 93.0 lbs
8/15/11: 105.6 lbs
8/30/11: 106.6 lbs

I think she's currently around 110 lbs.

As I've mentioned before, I have dexter who the breeder would have us believe would be twelve week old, but on vets first visit she says that when we got him he was only bout 6 weeks old , as it was 8 weeks according to owners when we picked him up, he was 2.4 kg on first vet visit, 4.25 kg two weeks later at owners 10 weeks sayso, but vet says it's more 8 weeks, and today at 10 week vets guess, owners say 12. He is a mere 5.6 kg, god bless him, have we the worlds smallest bull mastiff ever :) eats well plays well, no issues, lean but healthy, but way way off the predictive growth chart. image.jpg

Our Guinness is 6 1/2 months (28 weeks) and he's 60lbs.

I'll try and remember to post here every now and then. Getting harder and harder to get him on the scale :)

Zenith weighed in at 23 lbs at 12 weeks and at 13.5 weeks weighed 27. Is this normal weight? And is gaining 4 lbs in a week and a half normal? She's a bullmastiff/Cane Corso mix if that helps. I'll try to keep updating her weight in here :) according to my dad the vet said she doesn't expect Z to grow to be more than 85 lbs when full grown which I think is pretty small for her breed.

My Bailey, 13 month BM female was weighed 2 weeks ago at the vets and came in at 77 pounds. Today make 3 weeks that we have had her. Have not measured her height yet but will try and get that later today. From reading the weight charts ya'll have posted her weight seems to be on the small side. She is in excellant health although she is not eating as well as I think she should even though I have tried several brands of dog food (all meat based with no grain). Just bought her some "Taste of Wild" yesterday with buffalo / vension and am trying that. She gets plenty of excerise + daily training but only eats maybe 2 cups of food, daily. I keep some food in her bowl all day so it is available to her. At 13 months and 77 pounds - do ya'll think she will hit the 100 pound mark, later? Am very satisified with her but would like her to be bigger.

My pup's sister was inthe 70s at a year old, and now at 17 months she's a lean 96lbs. I think 100lbs is very possible for your girl. I do recommend though, that you figure out how much food she needs a day and split it into two scheduled feedings. Leave her food out for 10-15 min, then pick it up and offer nothing until her next meal. The food will become more valuable and she should be more motivated to eat after a few days. Leaving it out all the time has the opposite effect.
