  • Welcome back!

We decided to spruce things up and fix some things under the hood. If you notice any issues, feel free to contact us as we're sure there are a few things here or there that we might have missed in our upgrade.

Can I ask for some ongoing thoughts for my boy please

I have been thinking of you and Al often. I have also been enjoying watching your daughter's training videos with Otis on Facebook. They are incredibly inspirational. That girl definitely takes after you.

Thank you, Nik! She just passed her certification for training (only 50% pass rate in her cohort) and is booking her hours for her behavior specialty. She doesn't remember, but she used to run around the back yard when our Ed was just a puppy "training" him to be a show dog. She was only five. She's also level 3 Fear Free certified and is finally at a clinic that does cooperative care. It's a marvelous thing to watch a blood draw or treatment done without restraint. This is the first time I've heard her say she loves her job. I'm also really lucky that she's sharing her learning with me.

Congrats on the certification! You must be so proud of her. :) Oh you know I also noticed in her video that Otis wears a vest that warns not to approach owner because it can trigger anxiety. Did she purchase that or make that?

Thanks! I'm very proud of her for many reasons and I'd want to know her even if she wasn't my kid. I feel that way about both of my kids. I like them in addition to loving them. Not all parents can say the same, so I'm pretty darn lucky.

She had that harness custom made. The patches are purchased separately and I sew them on for her. He also has a small bag that attaches to the back of the harness for her emergency diabetes supplies. I believe the company that made the harness to her specifications was River Dog Gear. Further down the road she wants a custom harness from Bold Lead Designs. She also has - wraps? signs that wrap? - for her leashes that snap on and say various things. Like handler needs space, etc. I think most of those, and the patches, came from Etsy shops. If there's anything you are interested in, message her on Otis' page. She's very approachable.

Dear Boxergirl, I am so very sorry. I've been away, sort of, and I missed Al's passing. Blessings on you and yours. May the sweetest memories warm you every day and every night...he was your heart dog. I will send his "Howl to Heaven."

Forgive me, my friend, for not being here for you in your pain.
