For those interested, here is a picture of my piebald girl. She is 14 weeks old. If I was better at resizing pictures, Id post an image of her from the other side. She is just beautiful and such a steady temperament.

I like the unusual markings. I chose my current pup because he had white socks on the toes of all four feet and I wanted a companion pup, I am not interesed in showing or breeding. The white is considered a flaw in breed show.

i think there are two piebalds in the US that have breed granted full registration and recognition of their colour for the purposes of showing recently through the American Kennel Club, here in Australia they are still unable to be shown and can only beon limited register, and are pets only, although very uncommon ones. There is a facebook page run by the owners of my dogs sire called Gammonwood Pied Mastiffs, which has a lot of photos and information on the Piebalds...plus photos of my sweet girl so I am heavily biased!

This is one of the two registered : WS35884206 , I verified it via AKC. It's interesting tho after registering two EM's myself, those color options weren't available back in February that I can remember? Though the birth date of Ginger is 10/14/2010 so I guess it would have had to been there.

Also the MCOA is in charge of the EM standard and lay out the accepted color's which are : Fawn, Apricot & Brindle... I didn't think the AKC could alter standards? Assuming since they are just a registery they can add the color given the dog would still be a pure bred with the uncommon shared gene's by both the Sire & Dame?

Gypsy Moon started spontaneously "brindling" around 6 months old. It's only on one side and her back. She is also blue for her mask. Gypsy is half EM and half Neo. We love her and it doesn't matter what her marking are. I suppose that some would call her a mutt because she is a cross. That's okay. Your pup is so beautiful. It's ok not to be like everyone else. If you are not showing it doesn't matter.
