Ive always given my Mastiffs elevated bowls it was recommended by my vet because it can be a pain for a dog that is around 30 inches to bend all then way down to the floor, but I think it is more preference than anything else.

I have read that the bowls needed to be elevated but then I have also read that raised bowls can contribute to bloat. I'm so confused.

isnt bloat from eating a lot and then running? i thought it was a full stomach that bangs around inside and get caught or twisted up.
