As I am typing this reply , my English Mastiff is snoring . When he was 4 or 5 months old , we joked that he was just a bit livelier than a stuffed animal . Now at 9 months he has his active times . At about 1:00 pm he plays for about 40 min and at 7:00 pm we walk for a mile and then run off leash in a field for 30 min then walk back a mile home . At home he will play for another 30min . So in all he get about 21/2 hours of exercise a day . He does not have any fat on him . I wish he weighed more but not concerned .

Gus has just turned 6 months weighs in at 38kgs and again is lying on the stretcher bed snoring, mind you we have just been to the dog beach, where he as swam & played in the water for 1 hour & introduced himself to several rather lovely bitches, no doubt stacking the odds for when he can do something about it. i reckon he would even fall asleep whilst doing that.

all of our mastiffs like to conserve their energy. They enjoy some playtime everyday but mostly like to sleep on our bed or lay around on the furniture.

Have a fawn girl & I swear she's got greyhound in her lineage. I don't think energy is color specific.

Gummy Bear just turned 17 months and he's still going. There has been no slowing down. We'll see how it is by 2.

Loki is brindle and is a full time couch potato! He has been from the first day I got him. He gets little bursts of energy but they don't last more than 5 mins, then he's back to laying down.

Duke is Fawn and he has his moments, but most of them he can be found sleeping. When he wakes up his tail takes so much of his energy away from him, that thing might fall off if it wags any faster! Then again, as soon as you acknowledge him, he falls to the floor for a belly rub and then he figures, since he's already laying down, he might as well catch a quick nap. lol.
