English Mastiff or Presa Canario

Hi all, I just got my second English Mastiff and I have some minor concerns. My first guy was a fluffer and it used to drive me nuts explaining to people that he was pure bred in spite of his "flaw". My new guy is brindle but has a very small white patch on his chest. The reason this concerns me is that when I picked him up, dad was no longer on site. Supposedly he began to have issues with the other family pet soon after mom became pregnant. The other family pet is a brindle Presa Canario who was on site. Given that Presa and Mastiff pups look so similar, I am a little concerned that, having seen only photos and papers for dad, he may have passed off a Presa or Mastiff-Presa cross as a pure bred. My profile pic is the pup in question, Fergus. Anyone have any suggestions about what other subtle differences I can look for or if I am being paranoid? It's not the end of the world either way, I just want to know what I've got and raise/train the dog accordingly. Thanks.

He looks like an EM to me but I'm not too familiar with how presa pups look so maybe some of our presa owners jump in.

Thanks, the ears are definatly what had me leaning that way, I was just a little taken back when the only male on site was a big brindle Presa who are much more likely to have the white chest crest. Doesn't matter, he's a keeper either way.

My girl Amber has a little white on her chest and her pedigree is full champ English mastiffs, so I wouldn't worry and anyway as you say, he is a keeper and rightly so, he is gorgeous. Take care and enjoy your time with him it's precious.

Thanks again. What about the brindle ears? His mask covers muzzle and eyes, but his ears definitely aren't black.
