English Mastiff size dog door

Our bo is an 8 month old English Mastiff and has outgrown our current dog door sliding glass insert. Any suggestions on companies or websites to purchase from. I would like this to be our last dog door purchase and since he is only 8 months he still has growing to do. Size recommendations would be helpful too. Thank you!!

We just got Lincoln this. Should still fit him when he's full grown.

Crap, just noticed that was your first post. I like to joke around. I'm sure someone around here will have some serious suggestions for you. Welcome to the site.

Also, nice to see another Bay Area resident on here. I'm up in the North Eastern part of the bay. I have an 8.5 month old EM.

It's okay we fail together. I am interested in finding out if a mastiff size door exists though.

I've done a little searching myself, but haven't found anything I'd suggest to anyone. I'd like to get one for Lincoln, but the problem is that there are immediately stairs right outside my back door. I'm not sure he'd be able to step through a dog door and down a step at the same time.

The gun dog door is made around the area I grew up. If they say it keeps out the cold and wind, I would believe them. The land around Sabin, MN is flat and the winter wind is terrible.

Thanks for the link, going to look into this. Wyoming winters aren't much better and the reg doggie door allows wind still to come in. Thanks again!!!!

This thread is just what I needed my nine week old bb is currently using my dog doors that were meant for chihuahuas she has already learned to use them to go potty and my fifty pound lab shoves his way through them with. Is funny to watch but I was hoping to find an extra large doggie door for later in beezys life. Not suh an easy find.

I know I am late on this forum. My husband and I have a remodeling business and what we have done in the past for owners who needed a really big doggy door was to custom order one. They can range anywhere from 200.00 and up but they last forever. We order locally from a place that does custom windows, also, a lot of your general contractors have resources. I am not saying order the doggy door itself but order a replacement door that has a customized doggy door in it. It does not take long to install them (should not take more than an hour if you have to replace the jam). It is pricey but if you are gonna be there for awhile, it is definitely worth looking into.

See our doggie door isn't in the door. It is actually in the wall going from interior to external. We we get a bigger doggie door in the next couple if week, we are going to have to rip down dry wall and reframe. Should be a very fun adventure lol

I was just searching for a doggie door for ours. We are renting for at least another year. Buying a standard size door with a custom dog door is a fabulous idea! We can just put the standard exterior door they have here back when we move out and take ours with us! Sweet. I didn't even think of that option.
