English Mastiff spitting up

Hi! My 5 month old English Mastiff spits up on occasion. Not food or pieces of anything, but sort of a foamy yellow/green junk. Has anyone had this experience, and what is it? I was told he might be hungry.

I have heard of that.
Puppies puking bile when hungry.
Have you spoken with your vet? I would do that. Also when do you feed him?

I have asked, they seem puzzled. I feed him in the morning, usually a banana, some strawberries and his puppy food, Nutro Natural Choice, Large Breed. I do work so he is crated during the day. We let him out at lunch, he eats a little. We feed him in the evening, however, he seems to be picky and does not want his food. Called vet and they said to give him boiled beef and rice. Wow!! He picked around his food to get that. He likes his treats and fruit, yogurt and cheese! He seems to graze a lot on the weekends.

No. When we first got him, he would dig up the grass, eat is and then eat the dirt under it. He really doesn't do that any more. He will chase a leaf now and then, an occasional chunk of mulch, but no more grass.

As well as Ben I have a poodle/spaniel mix who is 16 and has spit up bile like vomit occasionally since she was a young pup, vets don't seem to be able to agree on what may cause it but it hasn't had any noticeable impact on her development on health so I wouldn't be too concerned.

Im pretty sure dogs by nature are lactose intolerant my dogs love cheese but it doesnt love them back. If your dog is crated all day I would think there may be an avenue of possible food issues. Do you have a yard or you could have a walker come by a couple times a week.

I always thought it was a food thing, if they refuse to eat then they will puke up that nasty bile. My female Em use to do this all the time, she would be fussy about eating and then puke up bile later on.

This week we have been pretty good. I have tried to mix a little wet food with his dry food. He seems to like it. I also tried the beef and rice like the vet suggested. He did like that, but it gave him the runs!! I have switched him to natural treats as well. Thanks for the great input.
