Sabrina,
Let me attempt to get you to understand how the CAFIB show works... 1st there is an evaluation where the dog gets measured up against the standard structure/confirmation wise, a nervous system test is also performed by way of gun shots and then a temperament test is done (it is not enough you saying that your dog is a Fila, it MUST pass the eval, not all do). the temp test consists of the judge coming towards the dog in various manners...the dog should show confidence and willingness to protect/attack. After this whole Evaluation, if your dog is approved it will then be allowed to be shown in the show (if your dog had been approved before by a CAFIB judge then you dont have to go through the eval again). Once in the show your Fila will compete against all other approved Filas in its category. During the temperament test the dog showing the most willingness to protect/attack with confidence and not back down will win the temperament portion. Any dog showing signs that it was trained to attack would be immediately disqualified. Arena won best adult female, best temperament and the best all around dog of the expo winning the expo championship.
