Hello Everyone...

I am new to the site, also new to owning an English Mastiff. I made a post a few days ago and I see a lot of people have read it but no one has replied. I thought maybe it was because I never said hello or introduced myself on the site. So here it goes... My name is Morgan, I am married with one son named Antonio, and we recently welcomed a new baby into our home, Hercules. He is now about 13 weeks old and weighs somewhere between 40-50lbs and is growing so fast. We are located in Florida and I actually got him from a breeder in Ohio and had him shipped down. He has been a fairly good puppy aside from his potty problem he started having and I just dont know what to do anymore. He uses the bathroom in his pen, he does fine in a krate but didnt want to use one. He was doing fine in the pen for a while and out of nowhere he starting using the bathroom in it. He is krated now and I havent been having to clean up any accidents. Well anyway, like I said, I just wanted to say hello to everyone and introduce myself, I have uploaded pics into an album of Mr.Hercules if your interested in looking. Have a great night everyone.

I know a lot of people who use crates to help potty train, I never have so I wouldnt have any ideas for you on crate/potty training. But welcome! :)

Having him use a crate is going to help you in so many ways. He can be crated when you have to go out and can't watch him, thus saving you $$ when he doesn't chew up everything in sight. lol As for the potty problem. I basically let them out immediately after eating or drinking. You would think it would take a few minutes, but for whatever the reason, it works. I've heard of people training a dog to use a bell when it wants to go out, but I havent used that method.

Thank you all. I am not sure what is going on with him but I got up this morning to take him out and he peed in his KRATE. I dont know what to do anymore but I can tell you I am getting tired of bathing him and cleaning that room. Now it smells like straight pee in there. I just cleaned everything yesterday and gave him a bath. Now back to the tub he goes and out come the clorox wipes for the Krate...
