Help ! My dog has diarrhea after 2.5 weeks of raw

Hello,

My dog waffles has been eating raw for 2.5 weeks now with no trouble at all. She took it really well and her poops looked great... but last night she had a little bit of diarrhea around 9:30pm before bed time and then this morning around 4 am she was crying to go outside again. She had diarrhea again around 6:30am and again around 8:30 and tried to go like 3 times at that time.
Right now she is just laying down. She doesn't seem lethargic or anything at all. She seems like her usual self except having to run outside to go. I left the door open (gates closed) so that she can go as she needs to...
I have no idea why she has diarrhea.. unless maybe she got into something I didn't see last night..

Is it ok to feed her the normal raw chicken? or a smaller amount? or do I starve her?
What should I do for her?

What was her last meal made up of? How much fat or skin was in it? With our dogs that will cause it within a matter or hours.

So can too much liver or other rich ingredient.

The chicken I buy are skin on leg quarters and skinless thighs so it is a mix of that... I never really thought of removing the skin/fat.... but she has been eating this same mixture for 2.5 weeks now and just barely got diarrhea.
In the future though, should I remove the skin/fat?

I totally agree with Tricap.

Did you introduce anything new? Trying to introduce new proteins too fast is a common cause of diarrhea. If it were me I would feed a bony meal of the first protein that she had been doing okay with.

Good luck!

The experience with our dogs is no chicken skin. None of the 3 tolerate it. We had an episode this past weekend where our daughter fed the dogs while we were out. She didn't remove the skin from the chicken thighs. Let's just say I was up all night letting dogs in and out and cleaning up. There are many that have no issue but some do. Maybe try skinning the chicken until it firms back up and then reintroduce to see if there is an issue.

I hope the diarrhea has cleared up! I find that my puppy needs a lot of bone to keep his stools firm. If I see he has a very watery stool I will feed him chicken backs and it firms right back up.
