Horror farm in Croatia

Tosa

Well-Known Member
I read this in the news last year and thought a lot about posting it or not. But here it is. It was really happening and the horror video was all over the news.

Mad of hungry, Tosa inu and one other dog, killed and ate a horse. All animals on farm were starving. Owner of the farm is Branko Borkovic. Neighbours reported him many times, but police and justice don't care. The farm owner said that these charges are lies and he denies it all. Everything is reported to the police, inspection and veterinarians. They have investigated the case and they concluded there is no animal abuse. Investigators didn't find anything because the video was old at least 10 days before their arrival, so farm owner had a time to hide all the evidence.

Tosa breed was never well known in my country and as you can see, never even got a chance. Just because a mad man left the dogs starving. The worst thing of all is that the same guy from the story still breeds the horses and is the only Tosa breeder in my country. At the time i was getting my dog, he was selling a pups, and although i wanted Tosa, it was really easy to look away. It still makes me so ashamed of my country for letting this kind of things happen.

I am now a proud owner of mixed dog that is 1/4 Tosa inu... we decided to name her Tosa, as it is the only way people could remember that horrible story and become aware of the breed that can be socialized a proper way.

Here is a link in english that i found where you can read more.
There are also few disturbing pictures on the site.
