WOW!!! Thank you. Justice is FINE! The MRI came back normal. Spinal tap was excellent. They only found one white blood cell in it, which is excellent. We are hoping that Justice got into something that was toxic. If so, it is a one time event. The neuro guy said if it wasn't a toxin, then it is epilepsy. If so we will deal with it. Ya'll haven given us some good tips on how to protect ourselves. Now for a little brag, okay a big one. Everyone feel in love with him. He was so good and of course cute, what mastiff isn't. When they brought him out to us they had dressed him up with a bandanna and someone in the critical care unit had given him a new stuffy toy and treats to take home.
Mastiffs are always a favorite!! Am glad everything went well. What a huge relief!

I have not posted anything thus far, because I had no advise and saying sorry, hope for the best didn't seem enough. I am so delighted that your baby is well and you can move on to deal with issues. I am moved to tears by the love, support and understanding that the forum members offer *not just to you but so many who are in need. Only dog people understand the depth of the love and the devotion to these beautiful creatures. It is obvious how much you love yours! Hoping for continued healing for Justice to live a happy and slobber-filled life.

Very good news. Now to turn the house upside down to make sure he did not get into anything at home/in the yard.

Crap, I just read back through the thread. I'm a really needy, whiny old bitch. I'm sorry! M

Ya'lls post are really touching and a source of energy that I tapped into. I didn't even reach out to family(except SIL) not because they don't love us but they just don't understand. Only dog people like us do. Thank you for being here for us. I have really missed some of ya'll. I know with all the problems with the functionality of the forum it makes it hard but I really miss ya'll. I also miss the pictures. There are some simply stunning dogs that visit here.

We are going to. While I hope it was a toxin. I'm having a hard time thinking that it is. The girls are fine. Nothing has really changed in the house in the last 10 years. Even though the yard is fenced we always take him out on a leash. We don't leave our yard.

What about vaccines and meds, specifically HW/flea/tick preventatives?

Yes, this! We never used flea preventive on Greta but she was intolerant to Ivermectin. It was one of her triggers. It's something to keep in the back of your head.

AB, I'm so happy he's fine. I'm not sure what post you were reading, but I didn't see you whine even once. So stop it. Give your boy some rubs from me and a smooch too.

Hopefully moving forward yas can figure out what caused it, so that it can be prevented from happening again. Still overjoyed to hear that your precious boy is OK!!!The vet staff would have to be crazy to not fall in love with a face like that!!

Hooray!! I had a feeling justice was ok. Puppies are mischievous and quick, but I hope it was just a one time thing! Best news! Love this place, & I miss pictures too. I don't do technology so doing the whole photo bucket thing ain't gonna happen
