Animal Rights Activists are attacking weight pull, and they have taken their cause to the media to encourage the public to believe that this is animal cruelty If they can get away with this in Florida, they can (and will) do it elsewhere. Please speak up, call or email the station and leave a positive or educational message! Remember, represent yourself, the sport and your dog in a positive and responsible manner.

Dogs are heaving, straining and giving everything they have to pull thousands of pounds! Are these local weight pull competitions exercise or animal cruelty?

A people in a state sees it and instantly bam bam it's cruelty .. Sad so sad

so i guess they rather see people go back to dogfight, they have power breeds with almost nothing to do why not put them in sport people need to know that some dogs have a need for sporting

oh the freaken PETA folks are getting board again. with all the energy they have couldnt they do something useful like help inner city kids or go hug more trees.

Unfortunately there are always going to be people that see something that doesn't match their idea of proper and therefore it is wrong.

I live in the viewing area of this channel but can't get it because I don't have cable. AND I have a meeting Monday at 11:00 am that should last an hour or so. But I'll try to sit down just before I leave & write something up. Our dogs don't WP, but we have friends with Amstaffs that do. And there's a young lady in the Tampa Bay area whose dogs are phenomenal at every sport they try. She's on another forum that I visit; maybe I can get her fired up. And all of her friends, too.
