Is he a Boerboel?

Hi all, new to the forum. We adopted Moose from a rescue a few months ago. No one around here has any idea on breed, came across Boerboels recently and feel he fits strongly but have limited info on them. Figured would start someplace like here. Hopefully the pic loads below. And maybe can tell, can send additional pics. From reading his weight is on the light side but his height is on par. Currently we're guessing he's 12-14 months, estimate. Weight is just about 80#s (I know small) but height at withers is 23.5".

Looks a lot like my Cane Corso Abby

That would be very light for a Boerboel male. His feet look too small to be a BB even though his face does look a lot like a BB.

But my guess would be Cane Corso, they look similar to the Presa but built slightly smaller.

He looks identical to a dog I had years ago. He was a great Dane pit bull mix. He was a great dog. We rescued him from a shelter.

I have a cane Corso Boerboel mix that looks like this as well but all black. He has a much broader head but I have seen Boerboels to look like yours. Breeders done like them as much because sometimes you do get a litter that may have one odd ball in it that is taller then is broad. This could be the case of your puppy. I was offered a pure breed Boerboel for half the price simply for that reason.
