I have to make the hard choice of having the family dog put down today... She is 17 years old and has been suffering for a long time... Finally my mother has realized that it's time to let go... She has been a great family member for many many many years...She was born with cataracts but despite being seeing impaired she was super smart and learned every trick in the book and loved going on adventures.

Now she is completely blind/deaf and can hardly walk.. She has congestive heart failure and continuously coughs... She is suffering and I want her to pass on to rainbow bridge so badly.. I cringe when I see and hear her and it breaks my heart that she has been allowed to linger like this for so long...

First picture was from 2 years ago and the last two I took today.. She will be put down at 6pm today...

My thoughts and prayers are with you. I had to make the same same decision earlier this year :( It is tough but time will heal. Dear Lindsey, go and play with Nicki, she is the goofy black lab waiting for you on the other side, the side without pain.....

I'm so sorry. We lost Magee about a month ago, she was blind & diabetic, 9 yr old bullmastiff. We lost Deedee about a year ago, 10 yr old bullmastiff. Stormy died 2 1/2 years ago @ 2 yrs of age from cancer. I still miss them every single day; think of them often. Your baby will be in good company; she will see all the wonderful things she's missed all her life, & she'll have lots of friends to play with. RIP sweet Lindsey.

She was put down around 8:30pm today... The vet does house calls and I had to hold her vein while he administered the shot... Took two injections because the first one didn't quite work... She was a fighter til the very end and so stubborn. She will be missed but it had to be done..

Her last photo before she was put down.. She looks happy...

I'm so sorry. I had to put my Siberian Husky, Keemo, in Oct 2009. The hardest decision had to make and the most horrible thing I've ever experienced. Your in my thoughts. Lindsey, look for the black goofy lab and Siberian Husky with one blue and one brown eye. He's a big boy but he loves to play.

Im so sorry for your loss. The are always the most painfulWe had put my 9yr old EM down a couple years ago because she couldn't walk because she was in so much pain. My thoughts are with you. Lindsey will find the goofy black lab, Siberian husky, and old fawn masstiff who is trying to boss arounds the smaller dogs.
