Lung Cancer - I might have it.

I've been keeping tabs. CR has been great about keeping me in the circle. You have my email if you need anything all you have to do is push the send button.

BTW, it is okay to cry. I cry all the time and most people who know me will tell you that I'm a crusty old bitch. Sometimes after a good cry I find I'm in a more peaceful state of mind. Then there are other times that it puts me in the "take names and kick ass" mood. Let it out and go with it!

Sweet Pea, little miss Bailey is trying to type... silly puppy, so she must be wanting to tell you that she's praying it "Doggie-style" for you. She won't go away, I guess she's feeling what we all are, concern for a friend. Typos therefore are her fault.

Have you ever had a general anesthetic? Make sure the anesthetist who will do your surgery understands that you have had bad experiences with freezings and blocks. (Put this concern in writing and discuss it.) Paper trails make people more attentive to their duties.

I hope you get a chance to look at the link I sent you, it talks about all the newer and specialized treatments that are being offered today. And if you can't get the best in England, hop the pond and go to the States for treatment. They are pretty advanced, and with a free market system, anyone can get in and be seen and dealt with fast. You know how slow it is in Canada (even if the treatment is good, you wait and wait and wait.)

So, I'm sending you hugs and kisses, and Bailey is sending you much affection and buckets of drools.

so glad to hear from you, sorry the dr's didn't heed your warnings.

crying is good for the soul, it washes the stress from your body, especially during this time.
it took me a couple of months to learn this along my journey. a wonderful gentleman in my
chemo gang(as we called ourselves) explained all of it to me one afternoon. he had over heard
my family asking each other if any had seen me cry or just always be strong. it helps so, so much.

so glad you have a wonderful husband!!!!! tell him thank you for me

Hey, this is only the beginning of this crazy, nasty, shit-tough "journey" (I'm beginning to hate that word, but, whatever)--but I am already impressed with you. Seriously. Even if you are stressed and afraid, you just face it, straight-on. With attitude, lol.

Please stay connected. We all care a lot about you, even if most haven't met you.

This forum is tight like that. :)

Ditto!

Listen to your body and give it what it wants - sleep, food, tears - it's all good.

Give your Hubby a big hug from me! I hope he knows how to cook all your favorite foods. :)

DDSK you are all man!!! :) OK peeps so the latest is that I go back to see my consultant Wednesday 5th March (2 more sleeps). I am hoping, and will be demanding, answers/a treatment plan. I am already sick and tired of being sick and tired. :) I don't have much in the way of patients as you can tell...I need to know what type of bastard cancer this is and exactly what is going to be done to get the shitting thing out of MY body (excuse my gutter mouth). Have also decided that my next tattoo (hopefully this weekend) is going to be 'Cancer is my BITCH'...if anyone would care to doodle a design for me then I would be VERY grateful! And once the tatt is done I will make sure photo of it gets posted here for you all to see. Love to you all, lots and lots of love and hugs.

hahahahaha!!! ^^that^^ is adorable!! Thank you!! Just a little snippet for you all...something to make you go hmmm. I was talking to one of my work colleagues yesterday and of course I was coughing, I know its rude to cough down the phone but I cant help it. Talking and breathing at the same time can be a little tricky to get right. :) Anyway....he told me to rub the soles of my feet with Vics vapour rub before getting in bed and I wont cough at night. So last night I got my little pot of Vics and scooped some out and rubbed it on the soles of my feet.....I SLEPT LIKE A BABY!! Honestly, I am no shitting you, I didn't cough once in the night. Now I don't know if it was psychosomatic or what but I am not going to over think it, hell it worked. I could even lay on my right side which is usually not possible because the tumour presses down too much on my lung and cuts off my airway even more than laying on my left (tumour side).

I've heard if that. Not sure why it works, but it made the rounds a few years ago. I'm glad it help you. we are all holding our collective breath for you. BUT listen, no matter what is said, doctors are often wrong you need to set your face like flint and beat this bitch back to hell. People do it every day. You can't look at a single family around you without finding people who overcame a dire diagnosis and disproved doctors at every step of their care. The human mind can overcome anything.

Honey, this thing is just a lodger who hasn't paid the rent, help the surgeon evict him, bag and baggage...kick him to the curb.

Yup! I do that with me and my daughter when we have colds. Works like a charm! Not sure it works with everyone, but it does with us! Glad you were able to sleep! Best wishes and prayers sent your way!
