Mastiff names

We just got a Mastiff about two months ago. I named him Fenway to honor my father who passed last September and was a huge Red Sox fan. Out 12 year old Lab who passed the end of April was named Sir Bodacious aka Bo aka BoBo.

Two of Fenway's brothers ened up here in the Seattle area from Texas and their names are Gunther and Mambo.

Good luck!

Our EM came to us with the name Murphy, and it suits him so well. We had a sheppard/lab x previously and his name was MOSES aka Moe, we also considered BEEF for him because he was so big. The shelter we got him from all helped pick MOSES but thought BEEF would have been funny and loved it lol.
If I was to have named Murphy it would have been
Mufasa
Ivan
Vlad
Strong names

Our EM is Hoss. For those of you that remember the show Bonanza, Dan Blocker who played Hoss Cartwright was from the same town we got our Hoss. Rumor has it Blocker weighed 14lbs at birth, so the name fits our big boy!

Bullmastiffs:
Topps Sumo's Ray of Sunshine, aka Sunshine or Sunny, was named in honor of his grandfather, Sumo.
Topps Sita Magnolia, aka Magee (pronounced Maggie), was named after a friend's dog, Sita, who was killed on the highway near our house. Magee went to the rainbow bridge a couple of months ago.
Topps Stormy Night, aka Stormy, just fit her personality. Stormy died of cancer at 2 years old.
Topps Bella Rosa, aka Bella, was named for her beautiful face, and she's a red fawn.
Topps Shadow of Bandog Deedee, aka Deedee, aka Grumpy Girl, was named after her grandmother, Deedee. The last Deedee was one of the last Bandog bullmastiffs, a very famous kennel in our area. They are known for their grace, conformation, and dog agression. Deedee passed away a little over a year ago. I still miss her.
Gems Ruby Begonia on Topp, aka Ruby, came from Gem Kennels. Sire is named Onyx; dame is named Opal. Ruby was a gift to honor the loss of Stormy; the only request the breeder/co owner made was that she be named a gemstone. Not a problem; her other co owner is Ruby Begonia, the town clown of Rubonia, FL.
Golden/lab mix: Mongo. He was named after the character in the movie Blazing Saddles, played by Alex Carras. The character was a big, dumb, sweet guy. Just like our dog. :) He was my heart dog. I wouldn't even consider getting ANY kind of pet for over 10 years after I lost him.
GSD/timber wolf mix: Shiva, after the Hindu god of destruction. Oh boy was he aptly named (sigh).
There were many others, but they weren't mastiffs. Some weren't even very big (beagles, cockers).

Our expected puppy is named Bentley. I only considered Bentley for a boy and Nala for a girl. We can't wait to pick up our new addition at the end of Oct!

My favorites are 1) Thor ( the name of my English Mastiff )
2) Butkus ( from the football great and Rocky's dog in the first Rocky )
3) Ted ( I do not know why , but I think it is a good name for an English Mastiff )
4 Nimrod ( once you have an English Mastiff and watch them do the stuff they do , you will know why )

My EM came to me as Roman. Before that, the humane society named him Roosevelt. I had issues with Roman and started calling him Romy because he's such a Romeo. Lol.. he does get called Roman, but only if he's in trouble. Lol.

My EM is named Kryten. I wanted an unique name that would still fit when he gets to be big. His nicknames are little guy and monster. If I ever get a female mastiff her name will be miss kitty.

My CC is named NYMERIA. after the legendary female warrior Nymeria Sand from the series A Song of Ice and Fire ...aka A Game of Thrones. Also named after Arya's wolf in the same series, Who she named after the female warrior. ....

I read a lot about vikings or philosophy so i tend to name animals after that. I really enjoy the writings of Marcus Aurelius and wanted to name a male after him some how. So I thought calling him Aure pronounced AH-RAY would be cool.

we got our male brindle 6 weeks ago, i was stuck at picking a name as well. I didnt want to have a common name and i kept thinking about when he is grown and big and the word Crunch came to me and I couldnt get away from it. my wife asked me why I wanted to name him crunch and I said cause when he's grown everything he steps on will go Crunch lol, a friend of mine bought his brother and named him Malaki. Crunch is 13 weeks old at 38 lbs.
