Me ax getting ears done today

He is a cutie! His ears turned out very nice. I would leave the collar on if he is scratching. He could pop the stitches or possible get them infected by scratching. I wouldn't worry about them standing until the stitches come out. Then you can tape if its needed.

We had our girls done last Monday. The vet did a good job, I have never done this so it's been a trip. Stella got used to the ecollar for the most part, and it has helped the scratching. Only grips is the vet didn't stitch the whole ear, it's very sporadic in the placement of the stitches. I asked him about this and he said that's how he does it, but he's the doc. Not me. Another issue we had with the ecollar is when we went back for a checkup, the vet tech put the collar tabs in the wrong way so the "sharp" end of the tab was inside the collar and we didn't notice so she was scratching and it appears the tabs knocked off some scabs too early making the cut seem raw. We applied some bacitracin to protect it and it seems to be doing fine. I'm calling the vet Monday to let him know what happened. She gets the ecollar and stitches out Thursday, can't friggin wait. Best advice for the ecollar is pretend its not there. Play and act like you normally would for the most part. Oh, and Benadryl lol
