Its not unusual for here unfortunetly. We have psychotic winters.....its just frustrating when it happens!

We typically have 5-6 'springs' before winter is gone. It's rare but I have seen snow in every month.

Well, spring is over and we're into summer (sarcasm yes, but it doesn't feel like sarcasm!), and Apollo is still not in full blow! I don't think it'll be much longer though, I'm actually getting a little fluff off his sides just not the chunks of a full blowout.

hmmm--I am still wondering about Tessa's 'blow'.

So so much came out and so fast--much was undercoat, & much was what looked like her regular hair.
Then it just STOPPED. I've never had that happen.
I took her swimming on Easter to loosen stuff up more.
The next week I gave her a good bath, then used human conditioner-cuz it's the same main ingredient in the doggie ones & it made the rest slip out.
I was relieved that her coat is so shiny--it looked rough from city winter & salt...

So does the blow just end abruptly?

Yup. Once she's done she's done. There might be some stuck spots that'll take some more encouragement to let loose, but yup.

Unfortunetly Apollo's "stuck spots that don't want to let go" is his entire body!!!!
