My Raised Dog Bowl

JEDIMASTIFF

Hello all! This is my first post but I have been a lurker on this board for a month now. I have found it to be very informative and I appreciate all the great advice and ideas. I wanted to show you the raised Mastiff food and waterer that I built for Jedi. It stands 16 inches tall. I have to admit that I do not have an English Mastiff yet, but will be adding one to our family in a couple months. The name will be Jedi. My wife and I are Star Wars nerds so "Jedi" was a natural name for the soon to be new addition. Thanks for looking.

Boba Fett was a name I suggested for our boy.

I've never thought about making my own raised bowls. Nice work.

whats the reason for raising the bowls again?

There's a school of thought that raising the bowls can help prevent bloat. This has been both supported and not supported by research depending on what study you look at. I choose to raise my dogs bowls simply because they are more comfortable eating from a higher surface as they both stand to eat.

Awesome! I once knew a dog named Jedi. He was an Australian Shepherd & was one of the best dogs I knew. Maybe it was the name ;)
