New member with Bullmastiff/Dogue de bordeaux cross

Hello everyone. I'm new here. I live in North Wales, UK with my partner and two dogs, Teddy and Maggie. Teddy is a rescue Bully Bordeaux, who is now 17 months old. I've had him since he was rescued, starved and ill-treated, at 6 months. We've had remarkably few problems with him given his history but each time I've been unsure I've found the answer (or at least discovered I'm not alone) at Mastiff Forum so I thought it might be nice to join you all. My other dog Maggie, another rescue, is a Staffie cross and Teddy is the love of her life.
