New to the forum, just wanted to say thanks for all the useful information. I rescued a female cane corso 6 months ago, her tail is docked but her ears are not cropped. Vet thinks she is between 12-16 months.
She is wonderful and quirky all at the same time. True to the breed a "little" on the stubborn side but very receptive to training.
On the downside was rescued at 52lbs and near death, bilateral hip dysplasia and subluxating knee cap. Gaining weight now and on supplements and up to 84 lbs. Told to keep her on lean side by vets due to hip issues. They aren't recommending surgery at this time. She is very active and my other dogs can't keep up with her now. She is very special to our family!!
Tons of useful info in the posts and given me much insight into the breed.

I'm new here too, but I wanted to say hello and welcome! You are awesome for rescuing your girl, she sounds like a super lucky pup to be in such good hands now.
I'm pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say that I would love to see pics! :)

Thanks for the warm welcome! Having trouble posting pictures, I 'm sure it is operator error. Any suggestions on how to help with toy hoarding? My 4 year old male corso always gives in and lets her have them. She then loses interest and wants something else!
