Paracord Leashes and Collars

I'm checking to see if there is any interest in Paracord Leashes and Collars. I'm wracking my brain trying to figure out how I'm going to pay for Hank's vet bills and continuing treatment. I came up with the idea to make paracord leashes and collars for donations. That's something I can do while I'm working my day job.

I wanted to sort of throw the idea out there and see if it flies. It will be cheaper for me to do them all one color. I was thinking red white and blue paracord. That way I won't have to buy a bunch of diff colors of cord and wind up paying more in shipping. I can just buy 1k feet of one kind of paracord. I can get clips for leashes at the hardware store and most likely at a discounted price (considering I'm their security guard). The clips for the collars I'm going to have to look around for prob on Amazon or you can buy your own clips you want me to use or w/e.

Basically right now I just want to see what ya'll think. Share your idea's or w/e. Brainstorm a little bit. I was thinking I might even be able to do martingale style collars. Love the idea! DMIke used to sell some of his stuff on here but I haven't seen anything in a bit...they were pretty popular I think! My bf made Oscar's leash and color. This was in progress. The buckle is cheap and frankly I like the leash pattern better but it is awesome because it's grown with Oscar and he's been able to fit in it since 4 months haha

What kind of knots do you know how to work with? Have you made any in the past?

Mostly basic stuff. I am willing to make anything you can find a tutorial for on youtube :giggle: I'm going to go through the scrap at work tomorrow and possibly make a jig. You are getting something anyways(Hector and tmriciutto), just tell me what you want. That goes for all that have already donated. PM me your addy I'll make you something neat-o out of paracord.

I've been thinking of ideas on how to make the handles on leashes and different design patterns for collars. I'm not sure how much paracord they will take to make. It costs about $8.99 for 100ft of paracord. The bracelets I've made with a basic pattern were around 10' of paracord for my fairly big wrist.

That leash was probably more than 100' of paracord but that stuff would sell at a lot more than it would cost you imo
