I have also herd of people that get dogs from the pound to turn around and sell them for more on CL or Walmart parking lots. I have heard of an actual case fo both from people I know.

Another Officer at work was working that case! I never heard if they caught the guy...funny that I find out by reading a USA Today article!! Thanks for posting! It seems to be a growing problem here and our office is really working to catch these people but it can be difficult once they know your onto them they ditch the dogs or disappear.

We have a lot of this pet flipping going on in TX too. Sad that people sink this low but I truly believe they will get their due justice. What goes around comes around...

I saw an ad on CL over the weekend. A lady posted she had rehomed her mastiff for free (she was moving and could not take him) and then found him for sale on CL for $1000

Its a huge problem in AZ too. We also have a lot of people selling mixed breeds as pure breed .
